Cut fromone bar.
We machine every crank from a single billet of EN40B, nitride it, then spin the whole rotating assembly — crank, rods, pistons, damper, flywheel — and take metal off until it balances within half a gram.
We blueprint two-litre fours for road and club racing — and hand you every number we measured doing it.

Forged 2618 pistons on H-beam 4340 rods, matched in sets of four to within 0.3 g end for end. Ring gaps are filed by hand and written on the sheet next to the bore they went into.
Both cams are degreed on the engine, not on paper: true TDC found with a dial gauge, intake centreline set at 108°, and every lobe's lift recorded before the cover goes on.
Baffled breather, coil bosses machined in one setup.
Degreed on the engine with a dial gauge, never on paper.
Every spring rate-checked; installed height on the sheet.
Back-cut, three-angle seats, lapped and vacuum-tested.
Chambers matched to 0.2 cc so all four compress alike.
Matched in sets of four within 0.3 g end for end.
Decked, line-honed and bored with a torque plate fitted.
Balanced with the crank as one assembly.
Equal-length primaries, TIG-welded and back-purged.
Stretch measured on every stud, not just torque.
Runner length tuned for the torque peak at 5,900 rpm.
Thickness chosen after measuring piston deck height.
Stretch-checked at 0.1 % before it goes in.
Kills the torsional peak near 7,000 rpm.
Nitrided, micro-polished and crack-tested.
Trap-door baffles keep the pickup wet in long corners.

Most engines arrive with a receipt. Ours arrive with eleven pages: each bearing clearance, each ring gap, each bolt stretch, and the name of the person who measured it. If a figure is outside our window we do not ship — we start again.

Same block, same people, same paperwork. What changes is how hard you intend to use it, and for how long between rebuilds.
Every customer is invited to their engine's dyno day. Bring ear defenders. We'll bring the build sheet and a pen.
